Chillin' on the Sandbar, Music & Lyrics by Bo Calloway ©2026, All Rights Reserved.
“Chillin’ on the Sandbar” is about a day with absolutely no agenda—and keeping it that way. The boat is tied up crooked, the radio is playing, and nobody is checking the time. Once your feet hit the sand and a cold drink finds its way into your hand, the day has officially started.
The song captures all the little things that make a sandbar day hard to beat: cheap shades, backward hats, friends floating by, and conversations that aren’t really about anything. There’s some dancing in the shallows, an old guitar nearby, and just enough sunburn to prove you stayed longer than planned.
Nothing big has to happen for it to be a great day. That’s the whole point. “Chillin’ on the Sandbar” is about dropping anchor, turning up the radio, and letting the tide handle the schedule.
“The best sandbar days start with no plan and end with nobody ready to leave.”— Bo
